I see ISU won it. Has Iowa ever played in it.? Seems as if with the BiG being so good in volleyball, its non- NCAA selections would have been considered. And Iowa beat ISU this season. Of ISU' s 21 wins, five were in this tournament.

This tournament ran from 1989-1995, then was discontinued. It was resurrected in 2017.

I took a quick look at the bracket, no B10 team was in it. No SEC or Pac12 teams either. I've been wondering why, I'd have thought Maryland at least was deserving.

Off the top of my head, I don't think any B10 softball teams have played in the NISC tournament either.

I'm sure coach Shymansky had his reasons, but seems like a chance to have gotten some post season experience, as well as maybe get a little confidence back after another very tough conference season. Oh well.
