NCAAW-- other games

Didn't even know the game was today, that's how checked out I am for women's basketball. I'm sure the ratings will reflect the same for most of the country.

I just see the headlines and it makes me wish Iowa had won at least one of the national titles. CC and the team really did deserve it.

I agree but we were CC and a collection of 3-stars going up against transfer portal Dream Teams and bluebloods with nothing but 4-5 star talent. Would've been amazing to get one but those teams gave everything they had IMO.

Really could've should've beaten LSU. If that game was officiated a little differently, or if their bench player doesn't go off on a career night, Iowa has a title.

I think the better question is if you take any of those four, put them on Iowa's 2023 and 2024 roster, and see if they could lead them to the national championship game two straight years.

I'm gonna go with, no. Lol.
And what would have happened to Iowa had Caitlin only scored 17, 15, or 10 in a big game? They would have lost badly, yet these players’ teams all won….shows how amazing Caitlin’s accomplishments at Iowa were. If she didn’t carry the load, they get knocked out early.

Yep. Reese wasn't even the best player on her team in that 2023 CCG. Didn't matter because she was surrounded by other elite recruits. Put CC on any of those teams and she wins 2 natties minimum, probably more. Could you imagine her running point on either of those SC teams? No one would've come within 40 of them.

Iowa has had 3 McDonalds All Americans since 2002

2025 Uconn team has 11 former McDonald's All Americans on it.
2024 South Carolina team had 10 former McDonalds All Americans
2023 LSU team had 5 former McDonalds All Americans
2022 South Carolina team had 10 former McDonalds All Americans
2021 Stanford team had 7 former McDonalds All Americans

But ya, Clark didn't do enough.

And Paige wasn’t the best player on her team this year….not even second best.

She led the team in scoring and assists and was about 2 made free throws from the 90, 50, 40 club, which, if I remember hearing correctly, has never been done in the NCAA Women's game? I would think she was at the very least in the top 2 on that team.

Here's another stat. Only 4 of 5 of the top recruits from the 2020 class won a natty.

5 of 5 of the top recruits from the 2021 class have already won a natty.

1. Azzi Fudd (Uconn)
2. Raven Johnson (South Carolina)
3. Saniya Rivers (South Carolina)
4. Sania Feagan (South Carolina)
5. Caroline Ducharme(Uconn)
