Well, if you’ve noticed they’re giving her all kinds of space… She never had that much space all game versus Iowa.
Yeah I get that, and I even thought that about tOSU posslosing tonight, but…..
Here’s the deal Nebraska had lost three in a row by double digit margins, 2 @ home and they went out to Maryland and absolutely smoked them.
Honestly, I want to see what they can and can’t do. I’ve seen USC play several times, I have not seen UCLA play that much. From what I have seen UCLA has made juju take one tough shot. Otherwise she’s been modtly wide-open.
And UCLA has flaws….Lauren Betts as big as she is, is a little stilted in her movements and I think the rest of the team gets a little lost from time to time.

Yeah, I hope they let it go like that in Iowa city. You might think with UCLAs size and physicality that would favor them, but I think you would agree. When Hanna Stuelke isn’t in foul trouble, she can be a lot to handle with her bounce and athleticism, even at only 6-2.
And I suspect we’ll see Addie give it her all, she played with Betts in high school if memory serves and I think we’ll see Ava some too
It's WBB. Streaky shooting seems the norm. You just have to catch a team on a bad night, and it all equals out. UCLA has fewer poor shooting nights than other teams.
Having watched both, I still don't know how Iowa beat USC, but not complaining. Definitely not JuJu's best game. Just have to hope UCLA is due for a rare cold spell while Iowa is hitting like they did in Lincoln. I have no idea how to chart those probabilities! Just want Iowa to get the lucky roll, and not have it wasted with this USC game!

So here’s the thing on that… I just watched the replays at halftime. I didn’t see Juju’s early baskets but as I suspected they were letting her catch and get clean looks, Iowa didn’t allow that all game. She scored 10 points at the free-throw line versus us. We were in her grill.
As for how we beat them. The thing is: that five game losing streak, while we were finding ourselves soured a lot of our fans. I want to remind you. We have not lost to a team that isn’t likely to make the NCAA tournament and we haven’t lost by double digits to any of them, maybe 10 points late to Tennessee.
We are a top 15 team… I think you’re gonna be very impressed with how we play down the stretch and in the big 10 tournament.
Offensively we played as bad as we could play tonight, nine of 35 from everyone not named Lucy and outside of the first quarter. We were in complete control of that game.
When we are shooting well, we are very difficult to beat! We defend, we rebound, we contest the pass….
On a sidenote, I love AB in the booth, she is fantastic!
I wouldn't be surprised to see Iowa lose big or win big in Columbus, but you can be glad they shot so poorly tonight because odds are now better they will shoot well next Monday. Doesn't hurt that Lucy isn't just having some lucky games. She's legit on an AA streak right now.
