Alot of head to head matchups tomorrow in semi finals. Going to be a battle. Wish it didnt conflict with the mens Big10, Im going to get dizzy just trying to keep up with all of it. Hope they figure opposite dates next year.
Horrible last few weeks for Ward. How can you get pinned while leading 3 times in your last 5 matches?
We've got 10 in the semis. Rose, Frost, Luft, and Schmit are in the blood round and Ward is done.
North Central has two in blood round, and one eliminated. Iowa can POSSIBLY finish the night within ten going into the semis.

Lilly Luft wins by fall in her blood round match to secure AA status
Ella Schmit wins her blood round match 12-1. Iowa has 12 All Americans wrestling tomorrow with 8 of them scoring
Jaycee Foeller with the fall and Iowa goes 5-0 vs North Central in the semis! The building is going nuts here!
Women had about the best semis we could ask for and North Central pretty much fell apart. We're totally in control of the team race now, just have to finish strong now!

The race might be for second now! NC really fell apart and Iowa took it to them at every opportunity the way they had to if they wanted the title. Great performances all around. And kudos to Rose and Frost for getting some bonus yesterday to keep things in striking distance. They were underdogs but they contributed mightily. Don't want to jinx anybody else right now when things are rolling.
TBH, I looked over at the North Central fans after that last match, and recognized my own expression after many third sessions on the men’s side. I sympathized, but glad it was a very different feeling today!
Absolutely. They killed it today. I think I saw Bella lose but I can’t recall anyone else dropping a match in the front side. Lot of good wrestling. Hope the men peak like they are.
It's been great. Brought my older daughter. Exciting 1st time seeing freestyle and women's wrestling. And a Spencer Lee sighting.

That was a gut punch to North Centrals title hopes
They can score quite a few more in the medal matches and have I think 2 finalists as well. It looks like in addition to the 2 head to head we should at least win 2 more but not sure it's enough.
NC hasn't had a very good medal round so far. 2 wins. That helps.
