Neb-Maryland Game

Steve McJunkins just T'd up the Maryland coach after no foul was called on a Maryland layup attempt

Debbie makes both FTs

Debbie then makes a driving layup, gets fouled and makes the FT

Holy crapl ZERO points for Maryland & Debbie goes the other way and get 5 points before MD gets the ball back.

LOL

Sounds like us at Debbie on Sunday with our colossal joke of a final minute.

This SEVEN POINT swing was HUGE in an 8 point game with 3 minutes to go

Gotta applaud the effort by Nebraska. Only 7 players and looked pretty darn good today. That’s a lot of minutes in back to back days. Wonder how much steam they’ll have tomorrow?

You gotta think it will catch up with them at some point. Would laugh if they beat Wiscy though.

College kids playing the second game in 2 days is really not the disadvantage some make it out to be, like playing a back to back in the NBA. A lot more adrenaline flowing when a losing team of 18-22 year olds starts finding a rhythm in the conference tourney at the very end of their season. These kids have played weekend, holiday and summer tournaments with games in quick succession for 10+ years. Going onto day 3 and especially 4 is when it just starts physically wearing on their legs. If anything there's a slight advantage for the team that played yesterday.

Watson for Nebby I thought he would be all-B1G by his senior year, if not first team then second team. He was good as a freshman, not every-game good but definite flashes.

I watched the game off and on. Whenever I looked over they were defending their asses off.

If they have anything left for Wisconsin I would be surprised. Damn Badgers.

I think it is advantage to get your feet wet like Nebraska did and get rid of the 1st game jitters vs a team like Maryland that is well rested but has yet to see the court. Compound that with Maryland being really young team and not that shocking.

Iowa is going to have similar issues putting down a Illinois team that is pumped up after its OT win vs Northwestern. Probably going to be dogfight close game.
