Nebby giving Illinois all they can handle

Fred has them moving in the right direction. Remember they have a five star playing right now who will be a one and done and they always bring in transfers.

And their assistant coach gambles on games so they really have a lot of good things going on over there.

Trev gonna be looking for 2 HCs by the look of things.

Nebraska really is the wasteland sports fans think it is.

At least they have the bowling team and hot volleyball players.

It seems obvious that when people (not referring to this thread) claim other B10 teams are "horrible" or "terrible" just because their record is not good....they are implying these teams are an "easy win" ........in fact, there are no easy wins. It seems like we can't logically compare how one team beat another and expect that to dictate other results. Rutgers beats Purdue, but gets beat by Penn St.....etc etc....

Exactly, you can’t be so good as to never struggle on the road in the Big Ten. EVERY basketball (or sports) team has an off night, and you should just be thankful if it comes vs. an inferior opponent (rather than in a big game where you really need a resume win) and if you can survive to fight another day!

Nebraska always seems to play the Illini tough, too. I firmly believe certain teams just have others’ numbers over 2-3-4 year stretches, too, lol. Speaking as an Illini fan, we seem to beat Minnesota like a red-headed stepchild whenever we play them, but Maryland seems to own us (even in losing to us this year, they had us sweating).

I remember at one point years ago, this was definitely true with Northwestern randomly having Iowa’s number.

Yes, agree here with both posts and posted something similar in the Screwed Schedules thread. Schedules matter and match-ups matter and as fighter said, there are just some teams that play certain teams tougher than others....go figure really?? The league is very tough and there are a few teams on paper more talented than other B1G teams.

But like last night's game in Lincoln......I watched the game and you better be ready to play. Kofi and all the other Illini talented players are a deep, big and very experienced team ending up taking care of business but Nebby is 0-6 in conference and 6-11 over all. Good for the Illini to get out of Lincoln, NE with a W.
