Meyer like most coaches are always scared of upcoming games. If not scared about the team they’re playing, they’re scared about how their team will play.

Sioux City - now that is a test tube of fan bases of regional teams. It may be ground zero in the Hawkeye vs. Husker border war, strong support for both teams.. ..way too many old timers who grew up watching Jerry Tagge and Johnny Rogers on KCAU in the early 70s then brainwashed their kids and grandkids under Osborn. The dormant Iowa fan base came alive and grew when Hayden Fry was hired, now proudly flying the flag..... a solid minority of ISU grads and fans, and your transplanted Minnesota fans who huddle to talk hockey while watching the Gophers lose another game.
I just used 4 towns from the 4 corners of Iowa as an example.
I grew up in Sioux City and it is ground zero for the Hawkeye vs. Husker rivalry, maybe moreso than Council Bluffs as SW Iowa has been indoctrinated by the Omaha media for decades. The war rages in Sioux City though and it is definitely flamed by the local media.

Good point. Again though, I think having Nebby defenders “out of position” relative to what they’re coached could only work to their advantage.
