Both Suck! Hard to believe 4 of Iowa’s losses were against these 2 teams.

Its like the more god awful an opponent is the worse Iowa plays.
The best thing about getting into the ncaas is there won't be any terrible teams to lose too.

It's pretty funny Iowa was swept by the first two out honestly
Iowa needs the right matchups. Iowa didn't play so well in out of conference play vs TCU which just pounded Iowa with athleticism/muscle or Duke that was too big to guard or Iowa to get their shots off.
Any team that has big a post player that is mismatch for Rebraca on both offense/defense is a problem, or too athletic that Iowa can't compete with rebounding/defending. Or any team like Nebraska that has 4 scrappy guys knocking down 3pt shots, or any team that takes away Kris Murray as efficient scorer, or any team of bums like Wisconsin can beat Iowa if Iowa is shooting 10% from 3pt line.
Iowa can beat a good, soft team like Clemson,
Hopefully we won't face another gritty mid major like Richmond from the A10.
The more I think about it, I don't expect much of an NCAA run by this team....only chance is a couple games of 45% plus 3pt shooting, because you know Iowa won't shut down anyone with defense.

If they go in hawks can bury an opponent (isu, Indiana) if they don't go in Iowa can shoot themselves out of a game. See multiple atrocious losses.
The worse they shoot the lazier they get on defense , which is a foundational element of Frans teams for some reason. The more they miss the quicker they want to shoot 3s too.
Those are the main constants with this team.
It has very little to do with the opponent because Iowa will nearly always play bad defense but get plenty of open looks. Theres only a a few opponents that have dictated the game to Iowa, like Purdue and TCU.
The rest of the games have mostly been determined by how Iowa shoots 3s.

Its pretty clear to me that Iowa struggles against bad teams in red uniforms. 0-4 vs Nebbie and Wiscy and got blown out by an OSU squad in the middle of a huge losing streak.
A big frustration is a lot of that has to be on the coachesb for setting the right tone for games you 'should win.' Bwing 0-4 against bottom teams (especially two losses at home) wreaks of not being mentally prepared
Well on the bright side Wisconsin after last nights loss won't be in the tourney and be playing in the NIT now while we will be named on Selection Sunday.
