Nebraska Can Beat MSU This Week

Thanks for refuting my interpretation of his actual intent by reiterating the textual basis for it. Very entertaining.
You're a rambunctious, browbeaten, antiquated individual. The devastatingly delicious turn of events coming from our west has been even more entertaining and much more satiating for us.

I know if I were playing Nebraska, I wouldn't be comfortable relying on a hail mary, overtime, or a last minute drive to score a touchdown or a long field goal in order to win.

I look at this year's Nebraska team as the football version of the 2012/2013 version of Iowa basketball. That team missed the tournament, but had they gone better than 1-7 in games decided by less than 5 points, they would have been a tournament team. If they had won even half of those games, they probably would have been in the top 25.

Nebraska is not a great team, but they do have quite a bit of talent on their team. They could easily beat Michigan State, which I think would probably actually help Iowa in the end. It would boost our SOS because we likely won't be playing Michigan State. I just don't see MSU beating OSU on the road.
They cannot easily beat MSU. This is Nebraska this year. Behold children of the corn, this is your glory.

Sorry, but The Miami loss was not a fluke by any means. Miami was destroying Nebraska the entire game. it was 33-10 in the fourth quarter. If anything was a fluke it was Nebraska's comeback in the fourth quarter. Nebraska's offensive play calling became desperate and Miami thought they had the game in the bag.

BYU could possibly be considered a fluke because they beat Nebraska with their backup QB.

The truth about Nebraska loses is that they were flat out beat by better teams. The fluke in Nebraska's season was them beating Minnesota the way they did.

I agree that Nebraska can beat MSU if Armstrong is back because they have put up a lot of yards through the air and Michigan State's defense isn't the same kind of defense they have had the last several years. It will be a shoot out.

I think it should be a good game. MSU offense hasn't been stellar this year and I see Neb being really fired up for this one after the last couple of weeks. Now, if Neb loses this game, put a fork in em for the rest of the year.

Nebraska got beat last week by a team that quite frankly might be one of the 10 worst teams in the country, giving up 55 points in the process.

So yeah, sure, they could beat MSU. Like...10% chance. MSU would have to completely no-show to do it though.

And that ain't happening.

Agreed, I saw the miami game and miami let off the gas at the wrong time. Miami was running all up and down the field on them and they also hurt themselves with stupid penalties. They had two long TD plays called back because of penalties as well.

Nebraska is not a good team this year. Period.

Most of the years, it was a basically a 1 or 2 game schedule. The rest of the games were glorified scrimmages
True to an extent. 1989 and 1990 they only played 2 teams ranked in the top 20, but otherwise it was normally 4 or 5. You gotta remember that in the 70s and 80s most good teams scheduled only other good "Power 5" schools in the non- conference. It was how you were able to sell tv exposure to recruits.

Like the sensible posters in this thread said, it will not be an easy game for MSU.

Ahem... although I think this is a poor call. Hopefully they reverse it, but if not this makes a Hawkeye Rose Bowl bid easier?
