I pretty much hate Jim Molinari (personal story), but he's a very good defensive coach. The entire basketball industry knows this, that Jim can really coach defense. I would love for Iowa to have a guy universally respected in this manner on staff.

I didn't say Miles is a genius. I simply said they are playing hard with nothing to play for while Iowa has played with 0 urgency for the past month. We will see tonight if Fran can keep the season from completely going off the cliff. If they lose tonight I would not bank on being in the tournament so we may get a rematch with Nebraska in the NIT.

Effort was good in these 2 games, but in the stretch where we lost 10 of 12 games, effort seemed to be seriously lacking, especially by the 2 guys you mentioned, and ironically two of the worst game performances of the season, were the regular season games with Rutgers, and Maryland, where they gave both games away, after having large leads.
