Well we SHOULD beat Nebraska. But we lost to MSU and UCLA so I am not real confident. Sad that I can’t even get up to go even with season tickets and a free place to stay. After going to the game in Pasadena I have lost enthusiasm for Iowa football. Looking forward to the next coach.
I think if not for his uncle and on the staff and dad former plaher he looks elsewhere after the season. But I could see him after next year entering the portal, which with his track records 2 Years in the same place is a lot. Kid decommitted from OSU and Georgia and I have a feeling with his ego him playing meaningless games while those schools compete in the playoffs he will bolt for greener pastures.

Well we know bowl games aren’t your Super Bowl since you don’t play in any. So for last 6 years Iowa game has been your last game for the seniors or game trying to clinch bowl berth to which you’ve failed and could have that scenario again. I guess lately Nebraska hasn’t had games many games that would even considered their Super Bowl (but fans I know of theirs point at their close losses to ranked teams like osu, how the mighty have fallen).
But they’ve had a lot of toilet bowl games since they by far and away now have longest streak of sub .500 seasons for P4 teams and have played in so many meaningless games last decade. If Nebraska losses last 2 or makes a bowl at 6-6 and losses it will be 9 out of last 10 years with a losing record.

You’re correct. Super Bowl is a bit much. Iowa has been Nebraska’s bowl game though for the past seven years and this year is shaping up for more of the same.
All I know is I recall a few years ago quotes coming from a Nebraska player that basically said they need to learn to practice every week like it’s Iowa week, I also recall seeing your stadium erupt into euphoria when shown Iowa losing to ISU in week two, Does that happen with other Big schools?
