Stop thinking about my junk sickos!

I am driving an average between 230-260 on the regular. My game has never been big distance but I find fairways and have a good short game. When I was younger and playing all the time I was in the 2-4 handicap range. Probably around 5-7 handicap now but I am also pushing 50.

So what have our local golfers done to get an extra 10-20 yards off the tee consistently? I am hitting a TM M2 driver set at 10 degrees and it is a few years old, so I could look at a new driver. Does anyone have any of the shot trackers that are popular that will give you club speed, ball speed, launch, ect?

Also, I am 6'4" but have never played with extended clubs. I have always used factory length clubs through the entire bag. Should I look into an extra inch or two on a driver for more CHS?

Just dreaming of getting ready for the season now that the kids are older and I can play more often.

This guy is worth the monthly fee. I’ve got some of my lost distance back.

Distance is all about club head speed (and finding the center of the face).

1) Examine the mechanics of your swing. Do you have proper width at the top of your backswing? Are you maintaining your lag in the downswing or releasing early? Are you using the ground properly to create power?
2) Strength, conditioning, and flexibility. They all decline with age unless you're actively working on them.
3) Equipment. Does your shaft fit your swing speed? Also need to look at angle of attack, launch angle, and spin rates.

The average length of Driver on the PGA tour is 44.5 inches, Scottie Scheffler is 6-3 and uses 45” Driver shaft. Good luck in the search for extra distance, I’m 67 and no longer pursue the holy grail. I retired last March and worked pretty hard on my game this past season, Lotta range time, Short game work and putting green. Got back to single digits. Sadly now days if I really want a shot at getting home in two on a par 5 I need to move up to the senior tees.
