The Atlantic: Trump: ‘I Need the Kind of Generals That Hitler Had’

I did

They're all 100% Trump Lackeys.

2 of them refused to testify to the 1/6 Committee regarding the insurrection.
You really ought to go back and rewatch that testimony and refresh your memory over what happened.

Dozens of WH staff testified honestly and accurately: they were ALL Republicans - not a single Democrat.
It's well worth your time to review that info, vs what's being spoonfed to you via Twitter right now.
Amazing the difference

LOLWUT?

The Hunter Laptop story was repeated by just about EVERY major outlet.
Despite there not even BEING an actual "laptop", and the info leaked was all from hard-drive "mirrors" from the alleged laptop.
Twitter banned the news organization that wrote the article for two weeks. It was called Russian disinformation and several news organizations refused to report about it.

This sums up the Trump era pretty well: "should have profoundly alienated Republican voters, if not Americans generally"

He brings out the absolute worst in basically everyone, and what he's revealed about Americans generally is ugly.

Anonymous sources hit pieces sum up the media with Trump

John Kelly is not anonymous. Mark Milley is not anonymous, Mark Esper is not anonymous. Trump's own recorded voice on John McCain is not anonymous. There are even more. You're capable of reading, it was all posted in this thread. LEAVE THE CULT! Have some self respect, you tried to distance yourself before, try again.

I left the cult.

But don’t fall for bullshit hit pieces where the family, the family lawyer, the chief of staff, and the communications director come out and say it’s bullshit.

you might want to look in the mirror

I don't give a shit about the Mexican funeral story. If you read the Atlantic story, you'd realize that's a minor anecdote. Read the rest. Kelly. Milley. Esper. Bolton. Mattis. All guys that Trump hired - "the best people" - and are saying these things. That pattern repeats itself with other former cabinet members. Heck, read Trump's comments he made himself about McCain. Feel free to grant Trump all the benefit of the doubt you want for anonymously sourced claims. These are people that in the old Republican party, could have been future presidential nominees if they wanted to be.

Step further from the cult, use your mirror, the cult is closer than it appears.

I was referring to the Mexican funeral story.

I don’t care about the rest. They have made their opinion well known on the past. Not new

I am not surprised that you care about some page 12 anecdote that you think is sufficiently disputed but don't care about Trump's feelings about Hitler, German general's loyalty, using American military on American civilians, the meaning of sacrifice, military heroism, honor, the Constitution, disabled veterans, and much more, all based on accounts from named military generals or other cabinet members who served under Trump and would have previously been considered honorable men, until they spoke against Trump.

You may feel you've left the cult, but based on what you do and don't care about, you still have much in common. I wish you continued luck, try to keep making progress.

Trump has been the most pro Israel president in a very long time. Not worried

Enemy within? Why do we need to discuss the MSM more?

I am actually curious why you cite Trump being pro-Israel as why you're not worried about all his other issues. Why do you care about Israel? What does being pro-Israel mean to you: financial support for their domestic programs? financial support for military matters? American military personnel alongside them?

Regarding the enemy within, hopefully that's just a joke, and you don't agree with using the American military against the enemy within, whether that's the sick, radical leftists, or as you believe: the MSM.

Kelly, Milley and Mattis need to hold a press conference or go on 60 Minutes and spill their guts. The nation needs to hear the truth.

I admit I haven't waded through all the posts, but Hitler had serious problems with his generals, most of it his making.

At the beginning of the war the level of leadership and decision making was very good. Hitler was an Orange Turd on steroids,

He was a corporal serving as an Emperor. He took strategic decisions away from Generals without regard for considerations, tactical, and logistical and otherwise that led to untenable and catastrophic conditions. Hitler fired virtually all his initial frontline generals and field marshals who for the most part excellent military strategists, while maintaining his orbit of bootlicking advisors.

The generals he maintained after 1942 when Russia, and essentially the European war had been decided were basically SS loyalists and scattered traditionalists, i.e., Rommel and von Rundstedt, both of whom had survived the earlier purges. Rommel was murdered in 1944 after being associated with the attempted assassination on Hitler and attempted coup de tat. The quality of leadership of from the SS ranks was abysmal, accelerating the deterioration of the Western axis flank.

In short, the Orange Turd's concept of Hitler's general's loyalty is applicable in a time frame when Hitler had already ruined the Wehrmacht's efficiency and capability. Chalk this up to the Orange Clown's fantasy and lack of historical knowledge.

Much more simple reasoning here:

  • Hitler's "generals" and "yes-men" rounded people up he didn't like and put them in camps.
  • Same thing Trump has stated he wants to do, on the record.

This is not remotely complicated...

So the same reporter, the same source, and the same publication that spouted the now debunked "losers and suckers" lie are back with another smear on Trump. Forgive me if I am sceptical.

Speaking of losers and suckers...

Does your skeptism allow you to wonder why a 4 star general - who prior to these "smears on Trump" - was considered an honorable man, would be willing to go on record with all these smears? Do you wonder why Trump would appoint such a man to lead Homeland Security and then as his Chief of Staff?

Does your skeptism allow you to wonder why so many other former cabinet members make similar observations?

Somehow I doubt that your skeptism extends to the source of the "debunking", that's usually how it goes for suckers. They believe what they want to believe.

An entirely different issue, but yes, German generals allowed genocide to occur whether they agreed with the practice or not. The power of politics overcame military priorities to this extent. It happens in war.

It could be argued the use of nuclear weapons was beyond the pale. Or fire-bombing cities resulting in hundreds of thousands of deaths. Yeah, seems like we should be able to justify that.

Concentration camps in occupied countries were in control of the SS. The "rounding-up" was SS and associated organization activities for the most part. The Wehrmacht could be complicit, but it was a political practice.

I see reason and purpose to highlight organizations like ICE.

What I posted regarded the relationship between Hitler and his general corps and how Orange Turd's disillusionment. Consider the similarity (hatred of Jews vs. immigrants and other races) of the situation now vs. Europe in the 1930s and an "erratic, radical and unstable ex-president with immunity".

It seems to not be complicated. Nothing is not complicated.
