Never a doubt

Huge win. I wonder when people are going to quit giving this team no chance. They get behind at home and the game is over. Player out and they have no chance.

This team and last year's team has a different DNA than the previous Fran teams..... Last year's team won with toughness and grit... this year's team has the same toughness and grit, but they also have really good talent now in just about all the roles now... Yes, these guys have had some really bad losses but it's never snow-balled like it did in previous years because that's just not in this partuclar group's DNA... it starts with Garza and Connor never backing down in any situation.... Weezy and CJF being calm, cool and ice veins no matter the situation... and add in JoeT, Bakari and Kreiner, guys who have stepped up in big spots when needed and can match the other 4 player's composure.... Maybe these guys don't make it out of the first round and maybe they make a nice sweet 16 run or more, but one thing you cannot say about these guys is that they are going to fade down the stretch

There was a whole 2 pages in the game thread with nothing but “fade February fade in effect” and “we suck lol”

This is my favorite part. Jesus, we get down by 3, and morons in the game thread are calling this game and the season.

God damn, we'll get to the tournament fellas.
Yep. It gets old real quick. People would rather bitch than wait and see what happens.

Realistically, most fans--I'm guessing--thought the Hawkeyes were finished when Minny scored 8 points in 45 seconds to take an 8-point lead with 5:25 to go. I was on the verge of calling it a loss myself. But the only folks whose attitudes mattered--the Hawkeyes--believed just the opposite.

Connor, Luka, Pemsl, Evylen, Kreiner and the rest of the able-bodied decided they were NOT losing that game. And so Minny never scored again, had two 10-second violations and a potential game-winning three-pointer blocked, and the Iowa team took home one of the most satisfying wins you'll ever see.

I understand fans thinking that game had slipped away. I was among them. Every indication was that it was over. But coming back on the road the way they did, well, that's why Coach Dillard called it one of the greatest wins in his long coaching career. And it may be the catalyst the Hawkeyes needed to finish with a flourish, starting Thursday night.
