No. 19 Troy already third top 30 commit for Iowa in 2017 class

Junior National folkstyle champion Luke Troy (Martin Luther King, Calif.) verbally committed to the University of Iowa on Friday afternoon. The projected 157/165 placed third at the California state tournament during his sophomore season, before placing fourth in the Junior National freestyle tournament this summer. The No. 19 overall prospect in the Class of 2017 was a Cadet National freestyle All-American in the summer of 2014, and a UWW Cadet freestyle All-American in the spring of 2015. Troy joins No. 17 Justin Mejia (Clovis, Calif.) and No. 27 Jason Renteria (Oak Park River Forest, Ill.)
