New uniforms?

Anyone hear of any rumors of alternate uniforms this year? I remember watching the player's reactions to a video early in the season last year and looking forward all year to what they looked like.

I think it'd be awesome if they did something like this for the blackout game each year.

Last year's weren't too bad but yes, just like Nike do the full Pro Combat ensemble like for other schools and Hawkeye Nation would go nuts!

It seemed the players loved the alt uni's, I hope they make it a yearly thing. I understand tradition, But many of the kids love some bling/glitz, probably would't be a bad thing for recruiting either.

I actually really liked them too.. They were nice and simple and a fun change from the norm. I agree though.. maybe let Nike design some pro-combats and make some flashy unis

It's been confirmed the ones from last year will be worn again this year for a game... My guess would be the MI game since its a night game.

Haha agree to disagree. I thought the numbers were definitely too big but loved them otherwise. I'd also like to see the names on the back.

These are definitely awesome. Would like to see them back this year with a flat black helmet and logo.

Sorry, I forgot about those awesome Nebraska, Wisconsin, and Northwestern uniforms. Maybe we should have a different uni for every game like the Ducks. Then we would surely land top recruiting classes.

Times must be getting tough in Duckland - I read somewhere they only have 6 different set of pants for this season, meaning they'll have to use each at least twice.

I wouldn't mind seeing an all white 'stormtrooper' look for a road game. Get some new white helmets. There are a handful of schools with multiple helmets. I know the NFL won't allow a different helmet for throwbacks. Thinking one helmet that is fit perfectly is better for safety. So KF might not be down with that.

Those alternate uniforms are basically Minnesota's regular maroon uni. I think we need something fresh, give Nike a little more creative freedom.

They liked them because they were different than the norm. It doesn't mean that they were as good as they could be. Flat black helmet with tigerhawk outline is a good start.

My favorites were the throwback 50's uniforms against Ball State in '10.
