NFL Mock Drafts: KJ a 1st Round pick? Plus Tyler Elsbury, Yahya Black, Luke Lachey, Connor Colby, Jay Higgins, Sebastian Castro & Jermari Harris

I was listening to local sports radio yesterday and the NFL draft analyst said that Kaleb Johnson likely will go early, to middle, 2nd round. He said the RB class this year is loaded and teams don't have to use a 1st round pick once the Boise State RB is off the board
I do think KJ will be a stud in the NFL for a long time .

Jay Higgins met with the Panthers. They asked if he knew who was their starting LB.

"That was an easy answer. It's the Outlaw."

We learned the install tape from Josey. As soon as you come in, he's teaching you the base defense. So just idolizing that guy throughout my entire career at Iowa."

LB Jay Higgins was asked how Iowa turns 3-star prospects into NFL draft picks:

"They do a really good job of recruiting the right guys. They aren't worried about what 247 and Rivals are saying. I didn't get much attention out of high school, and a lot of those dudes who got attention, they didn't make it here.

"Iowa was able to see through some of those articles. That's how you go get a Cooper DeJean. That's how you go get a Sam LaPorta. They do a good job of recruiting the guys and not just looking at the offer list; they go get guys that they actually want."
