Whoda thunk it! After a skittish start, with a bunch of turnovers, we regained our composure and out-played #12 Maryland most of the game to win big. I think Iowa played smart and kept their cool and got the ball to our two studs, Garza and Wieskamp. They had great games, but I was equally happy with the play of the rest of the depleted team. Kriener stepped up early, Toussaint played well after he came back in, and McCaffery, Pemsl and Evelyn kept getting the ball to the right players who could score. Cordell looked like another guard out there, as he kept getting the ball to Garza and Wieskamp for a bunch of dead-eye shots. Congrats, Hawks!
