I would have liked to see us go at full strength as it would have been a much better game, but congrats. You guys are having a pretty good year for sports this year.

He didn't disparage Iowa in his first post at all. Any team missing their best player wishes they could see what would have happened had that player been healthy.
Just because we beat MSU with and without Valentine doesn't mean that missing one's best player wouldn't have made a difference. Would Michigan have won? I doubt it, but it's hard to argue that the game wouldn't have been closer. At the end of the day though, is that when Iowa shoots as well as they did and only turn it over 4 times, there isn't a team in the country that has much of a chance of beating them.
Nailed it. I didn't take the OP as a "back hand". Switch places with them and say we lose like they did without Utoff (or is that You-doff?)--we'd be wondering the same thing he mentioned. Take the kind words, un-wad your panties, say thanks, and move on.
It seems to me OP's panties are the ones in a wad. Just don't know why people expect a warm reception when they give a back-handed compliment, which it was.
