Niemann and Epenesa, Rising Young Stars on Iowa's Defense.

Niemann and Eppy are studs performing at a high level already in their young careers. Niemann looks like he's been starting for 2 years already and AJ is bringing the pain along the DL.
I'm also looking at Matt Hankins, Chauncy Golston and potentially Djimon Colbert as young stars to emerge this year.

If guys keep on developing ... we might see a number of great "stories" emerge from the '18 squad!

I'm proud of what Hockaday has done so far this season ... I'm really happy that he's been making the most of his opportunity. However, since he's been seeing so many high-quality reps ... it's also critical for him to continue to improve. Just because he's a relative veteran doesn't mean that he's "there" yet ...

And yeah ... we have some pretty young guys who've been playing good ball too.

Epenesa may get to double digit sacks, 15+ tackles for loss and 4 or 5 forced fumbles the way he's going.

Thinking about this more in depth it's possible current sophomores could be one of the most talented groups ever at Iowa.
