She absolutely is implying US companies pull out. In the last interview I watched she was talking about a plan B if China ends their business here. The interviewer asked her point blank two times if that meant if she thinks that US companies should pull out right now and she immediately pivoted to talking to something else both times.
As far as her being correct, well no shit China is a threat. Everybody agrees on this point. The hard part is how to mitigate this threat. And that's where she falls short.

She skirts the question, that is for sure. She clearly says companies need to have a plan b, which I agree with. If china were to pull out on the us, why wouldn’t you want to bail out on them? I, for one, completely agree with everything she is saying about china. I want to hear more. You should to.
We ain't "pulling out of China" as long as us lazy slobs want cheap stuff. This mantra she's on is nothing more than trying to grab a different gotchya topic than the rest of her opponents.

The fact is..we have allowed Red phuquin’ China to legally purchase American properties....and now we are going to play “Indian giver” with (just the) Red phuquin’ Chinese? (And do so in the name of making America great again?)
I look at plat maps around NW Iowa quite a bit and haven’t drawn any conclusions that China is buying up farm land around here. Maybe elsewhere.
Yes, they should have a plan B. I would be surprised if there are companies that don't already have one when dealing with China. I guess my beef is that she is making this the cornerstone of her campaign yet she won't answer questions when asked about details that aren't part of her talking points. If she really is the one to finally have the answer over the China problem she should be able to tackle all angles of it, not just those that provide a convenient sound bite for her.

I don’t think anyone in either party knows how to deal with China. Whatever they come up with it needs to be bipartisan.
china is not necessary certainly not in today’s world for us to get affordable stuff. there’s a ton of capable and far more benign partners we can work with instead and supplement with manufacturing strategic nextgen stuff in america. sure might take a bit of time hopefully not too long.
sure the commodity knick knack items can be lowest priority to move out.

Next time Haley campaigns in Iowa and talks about getting tough with China, someone should ask her how Iowa agriculture would fare with the loss of pork and soybean exports.

Well, Trump's trade wars were a disaster, and part of the disaster included billions to farmers in direct payments. Those payments were borrowed, by the way. I guess that was good debt?
China is doing everything it can to become more food independent and spread out their suppliers, too. Republicans have been a disaster for farmers.

The thing that is disappointing is that Haley was a normal conservative at one point in time. She could be viable in 2028, and actually shows a willingness at times to compromise. This stuff is nonsense.
There are legitimate concerns about who owns property around sensitive facilities. A blanket ban on foreign ownership such as Haley is proposing is antithetical to free marker capitalism and private ownership of land. Bedrocks of our country.

What likely happens is China buys more from Brazil, and with the loss of the China market, the US is forced to export at a discount... to Brazil, who then resells to China.
