No changes this year. The list of teams that have made the Sweet 16 since our last trip in 1999….26 years of futility!

All teams in the Sweet 16 this year have been multiple times since we have been. All SEC teams except Mississippi St. have made the Sweet 16 and all Big Ten teams except for us, Minnesota, Rutgers, Nebraska and Northwestern. Yes, we are part of the infected vaginal wart of NCAA college basketball.

Iowa was in the Final Four 45 years ago today.

I have a feeling we won’t care about this list in the very near future! 😎

Just FYI, if thats your list, then you missed a team coached by a guy who coached at Iowa. I'll give you a hint. The school would be between Missouri, and NC State on your list.....

Have made the Sweet 16 ? Get some rest.

Even if McCollum is in above his head in the B1G, it'll be a lot easier to push the reset button. I don't think Beth is as impressed with a 25 win, BTT championship season that fizzles out in the round of 32 or 64 like Big-Ass Buyout Barta was. He's the GM that would give an MLB manager a 1M raise for going 84-76 and just barely sneaking in as a wildcard and getting swept in the divisional series. "Yeah, we didn't do squat in the postseason, but yowza! Big Homey Johnson was just three batting points shy of winning the triple crown!"

I get it, we all get it. You don't like the condition of the men's basketball program. Most of us were ready for a change. I hope you can give our new coach a chance to prove he can turn it around. I for one am excited for the future.

At least Colorado St. lost on a buzzer-beater, St. John's crapped the bed and Mich St. held off New Mexico. That coulda been 3 more....

I have very little doubt that the Hawks will make a Sweet 16 under BMac, and could have a helluva great stretch of success.
