“Compare how the New York Times covered Hurricane Katrina (red) vs. Hurricane Helene (blue).

Katrina: 12 consecutive days of full-page coverage on A1. All-caps banner headlines. Countless articles about the failures of the Bush administration.

Helene: Seven days of minor coverage on A1 (none at all on day two). Mostly just photo captions referencing articles on page A12 or A19. Zero mentions of any potential failures on the part of the Biden-Harris administration.

Still think there's no media bias?”

Fox News says... what? Media bias... no way!! Oh wait... hang on... hold that thought... we're still writing our $700 million check for lying for years to our audience about The Big Lie. Ok. All done. Media bias?? NO WAY!

Bush's response to Katrina was an absolute embarrassment to this country. The Presidents all learned from those mistakes and have done a much better job. Trying to compare the coverage is as stupid as comparing the fact checks in the debates. One side lied at every turn. The other, not so much.

What is really telling is the lies that Trump has repeated about the response to Helene. The fact that he keeps making up lies pretty much tells us the response has been made as well as could be expected.

OP is running away with it. It’s not even close right now.

We should have a worst post category too - would it be his lie about OK allowing pride flags but not US flags? Maybe his post about ABC and the debate? Perhaps it would be his just asking questions post about Kamala doing coke in the White House?

And that’s just the last 30 days or so.

Katrina was a Category 5 storm that hit a major US city which then had over 80% of its land area flooded when the levies failed. It was a big deal.
