No 'Official' Game Thread?

People probably didn't really care about the bball game since we got beat by Dayton. Mainly I figure people were celebrating the football win. Amazing football season.
Yeah, but that's sad. Hawk fans could have pivoted from football to basketball. I couldn't believe it when I came to this board. It's as if Iowa Basketball wasn't even in season. I watched it on ESPN 360. They looked bad.
Agree. I caught both games in this tourney and have been thoroughly disappointed. The offense looks ok but the defense looks horrendous. Not what you expect early season with a senior laden team. We should be kicking the snot out of teams just based on experience. How many teams return 4 starters with as much experience as Iowa? That's a huge deal this early in the season when new faces are trying to gel with others. At times it looks like Iowa looks like they'd rather be anywhere else but playing basketball. I don't know if this is a head coaching issue or a leadership issue.
There was one time Fleming didn't even bother to put his hand up in the face of the shooter, so the ND player got an uncontested shot. The announcer said that should NEVER happen because it shows a lack of effort, and he didn't care if it's a senior or a freshman. I saw Jok dogging it on defense several times, leaving a shooter wide open. I'd rather Fran played walk on kids, or some of the freshman, who are showing they care and busting their behind. If you don't want to be on the court then have a seat on the bench and play someone who's willing to hustle.
