Northwestern gets transfer

I hadn't seen this posted anywhere. Northwestern has signed Virginia Tech transfer Joey van Zegeren. A 6-foot-10 forward, he left the Hokies in January after being suspended indefinitely by Coach Buzz Williams. He averaged 10 points and 6 boards last year before he was suspended and will be eligible to play immediately

Wow, Collins must have the higher ups in his pocket. I'm very surprised Northwestern would take a transfer with problems in the past. They've traditionally ran a squeaky clean program. You know when Buzz Williams suspends a player, it's bad.

If he last played before spring semester, he could be eligible for spring semester 2016. Not immediately eligible, but for most of upcoming season.
