I actually thought Iowa played hard for getting blown out.

This is very different from getting blown out by OSU and Wisconsin.

UM is a legitimate final 4 caliber team.

They hit everything and the hawks couldn't hit anything and it snowballs when you're already at a disadvantage talent wise.

The reverse happened in Iowa city.

Iowa has to make a good percentage of jump shots and have the opponent not shoot that well against the zone from the outside to beat good teams.

That's just the reality.

The real tournament starts next week.

After how Iowa handled them early in the season I was expecting that Michigan would come with a solid game plan. They did, and they executed.

I agree. I thought they played hard except for JBO who was doing dumb stuff all game.

UM did a nice job beating us with their small lineup featuring 4 perimeter players. We had to stay big, because their 4 perimeter guys are better than ours, but they won that.

I don't think this Michigan team is as good as the Michigan teams of previous 2 years. I'd be surprised if they get to Final4.

Teams do make 3's and Iowa ran into a bit of a buzz saw, but Iowa always helps shooters get going by leaving guys wide open for 3's..

If you watched Michigan on defense though, they shadowed Jay Bo and didn't give him looks. They ran Moss off the 3pt line so he kept driving and missing. They let Connor and Garza shoot as many3's as they wanted. If you guard better than Iowa, you don't get buzz saw blown out as often.

I don’t think it’s a big deal either. We go 1-5 in our last 6 with an average loss of 15 points per game. We’ve got them right where we want them.
