NY District 3 Special Election- Democrats win and flip the seat!

99% endorsement success rate my ass!

That’s not even the most pathetic part. Because Pilip didn’t kiss his ass and make him feel special, he stayed away.

The guy is a narcissistic albatross hanging around the neck of the GOP and they continue to play along.

It’s quite shocking that the guy who held the seat for 6 years before stepping down to run for governor managed to win it back when his replacement got booted.

A suburban House district that went heavy on a MAGA candidate in 2022 completely flipped and went heavy on a moderate Democrat in 2024: why this is bad news for Biden

Same feels.

It seems like you guys are making more of this than it really is. It shouldn’t come as any surprise at all that Suozzi won. He represented the district for 6 years before stepping down to run for Governor. It’s a D+2 district and his opponent was a county legislator - a Black, Ethiopian-born Jew who ran as a Republican even though she is registered as a Democrat.

The only real surprise in this whole story is that Santos somehow won in the first place.

I believe the map was changed prior to the 2022 election and Lee Zeldin won the district by 10%.

Dems have been kicking R azzes in all of these special elections. There is a lot for the Rs to be worried about.

Make of it what you will but all signposts for the GOP come November are indicative of pain. Under Johnson the GOP House seems to be content to FAFO. Many will likely FO.

But wait until it's bad for Biden. And he's old!
I didn’t say anything at all about Biden. I said you guys are making a little more of this than what it really is. A three-time incumbent Democrat came back after taking a year off to run for Governor and reclaimed his seat in a D+2 district, beating a political upstart who was running as a Republican even though she isn’t actually a Republican.

You guys are treating this as some sort of seismic shift in the political landscape when in reality it was a very predictable, if not inevitable, outcome.

I am 100% convinced that House Republicans are going to get obliterated in November.
Merican voters are pissed off with this GOP Congress. Getting nothing done and screwing around on stuff like this symbolic impeachment of Mayorkis.

Every Republican legislator should be worried.

I fully expect many House Republicans to announce that they are not seeking reelection.

Fvck em all.

Reminds me of Frank Drebin outside the firework factory.
