Was briefly watching a Coach K special on ESPNU. I didn't realize in '80 he was offered the ISU job, which Orr ultimately took. He thought he was a long shot for the Duke job, but wanted to see it through to the end.
I knew Lynn Nance was ISU's coach at the time, but in looking didn't realize he left/fired in the middle of the season. Anybody know why?
How different CBB may have been had he either would have taken ISU job or not gotten Duke job and stayed at Army longer.
