Offensive stats compared to the rest of FBS

We are:
117th in total offense
103rd in 3rd down conversions
80th in points per game
115th in total first downs

Out of 130 teams in the FBS.

How can anyone make an argument that this was a good hire or that this is acceptable?

Yes Wisconsin defense is for real but are they good enough on holding a rival team in check for 67 yards? Are they that good that they held us to 0 points, which is the only team they have held scoreless this year? Aren’t we suppose to be better the 0 points and 67 yards of total offense?

It doesn't matter who the OC is. The offense will always be ran the way Kirk wants it ran.

Yeah but Wiscy hasn't played anyone yet. Let's see what Michigan and OSU muster before we crown the Badgers. Our offense has been horrid on the road. At NW, MSU and Wiscy. ISU was only game with a pulse.

Even for a first year OC and O-line coach those numbers are terrible, but let's keep experimenting. Maybe next year Kirk can promote a grad assistant to DC.

Wisconsin's defense is good, no argument there. The 66 yards of offense is still pathetic. Indiana put 4x as many yards on them as we did. 4x. Maryland managed to do about the same.
Nebraska's train wreck managed 6x as many.
I don't care how you try to spin it, that's pathetic.

Per KF and players, Wisconsin did not do anything that surprised them. They were just worse than every other offense this season in dealing with the expected.
