BM said he will need more bigs at Iowa than he needed at Drake, so I'm guessing he's looking to add 2-3 more bigs.
Ya I'm hoping for 2 more centers(rs jirak). 1 more pf. A sg. Then to be honest we have 2 but I don't know that their starting caliber in koch and banks?

The only thing I question is speed and quickness. Other than that he looks good.
I think with the way ben talked about strength and conditioning and if this kid buys in he will be a good one

I'm guessing Iowa probably has enough money to pay 2 or 3 more starter caliber players, and 7 spots to fill.
This is the type of player that hopefully requires little more than a scholarship for year 1.

Far too early to label him a bust, has 4 years of eligibility left. If he does well at St Thomas we will likely see him on a P4 team again.
Of course, if he was that good, he wouldn't be going to St. Thomas.
He'd be a huge get. With the pf visiting from where? I know he is from Spain originally.

I would take one developmental big each year with the agreement that they redshirt the first year. You should know by the 3rd year whether they are going to contribute. If not, adious.
He'd be a good get. Athletic, great hops, not a great shooter though. Played for Drake his freshman year two years ago with DeVries as the coach. And of course, Barnwell was his coach this last season at TT.
I've watched a lot of Drake basketball and Overton is soft IMO. He stays behind the 3 PT line on offense and looked lost on D. He'll be a Jr. on his 3rd college and most likely bail after a year for his final season.

I think there is another spot for a shooter on the squad. Need a shooter, another young PG, and a big or 2 imo
That is not what Ben said the On Iowa broadcast. He said he wanted two bigs and a pg. Now he might take Tate but will want him to develop, maybe even redshirt.
I'd be happy with that. Kakert was the one that said tate was a done deal.

Not saying it's going to happen. But do u think if nyk lewis committed, that he would count as the 1 pg?
That said we have 8 now on the roster. That woule put us at 13 scholarship players considering tate commits
