Probably depends on who wins the next game. If Rutgers wins then they only need to play 2 games tomorrow, if Indiana wins then 3 games need to be played. The Iowa/Michigan game will be the first one no matter what.

I think at minimum they have to reach the final. 3-2 without playing the other top 3 RPI teams isn’t going to get it done. Only a loss to Rutgers puts us on the bubble. We needed some things to go our way and largely they just haven’t.

Haven’t seen Morgan since he walked 5 batters in a row.

Iowa will have to WIN the BTT and after that capture a flock of seagulls, then climb Mount Everest, take a collect sh** at the top of the mountain, bag it, and then take the captured flock of seagulls....have them fly down the mountain to a tribal village below and drop the big bag of sh** off, make sure it gets mailed back to the NCAA in America, and then, IF AND ONLY IF THEN, Iowa completes those tasks..........they'll get into the NCAA Tournament.

The analyst on BTN after the game said he thought because of RPI Iowa would need to win the tournament to get in. Who knows?

Trying to break out of my "this f'ing sucks" mood. New goals:

Ride Nedved to a win tomorrow and advance to weekend. Eminently doable.
Ride Langenberg to a win in first game on Saturday. Eminently doable.

That puts Iowa in the B1G's "final four."

Hope that either (a) Maryland gets upset and Iowa faces Michigan, Illinois or Indiana in the late Saturday game or (b) if that doesn't happen, Iowa gets to face Maryland for potential signature win. Likely that it would be a combo of Schultz/Brecht/Baumann.

Somehow survive Saturday night's game. Advance to Sunday.

Hope that the other bracket doesn't result in a necessary Sunday early game.

That puts Iowa in the B1G's "final three" and puts Iowa's B1G tournament record at 3-1.

Then you are playing with house money on Sunday.

I'm not claiming that would get Iowa in as an at-large but . . . I'd watch the selection show on Monday with fingers crossed.

I actually like Iowa's chances to win tomorrow and the first game on Saturday. (After today's game, I understand that it is illogical).

They need to hit "erase" and "re-set."
