*****Official Iowa @ Michigan Game Thread*****

Game over. 3 seed isn't terrible. Won't matter if Nunge and McCaffery are gone.
I think it does. CMac is an exceptional game manager, and while a little awkward, Nunge offers a lot off the bench. Losing that depth hurts a lot.

JFC Fran, terrible substitution patterns.

Garza really hurt his chances of a 1st round pick tonight. Maybe he never had one but the players in the NBA will all be able to match up with him like Dickenson did tonight. Now, they won't be able to foul the shit out of him all night like Dickenson did, but still, he needed to do better.

Right, but athletically they are. And, Michigan had a pretty subpar first half. I know Iowa fans don't like it, but there is an obvious talent gap between Iowa and the top teams in the B1G Ten. Garza and 3-point shooting can be an equalizer, but not always.
There’s an effort gap, too.

Michigan is playing harder.

Right. I think you misinterpreted what I was saying. Without those two, getting out of the first weekend is questionable at best.

He never had a chance as a first rounder.

Hats off to juwan howard and michigan. They have well rounded players, our mostly offensive specialists are getting exposed. Oh well, expected

Suddenly bringing in Ulis and PMac at a critical juncture when we were on the verge of a comeback was an AWESOME idea...

Yea, that was excellent coaching. Let’s sit Keegan, CJF, and Weezy all at the same time. And let’s give Ulis a try too.

Even Garza missing bunnies, Iowa was still only down 7. Striking distance. Ulis and Patrick subs were the death blow

I tell ya who I would take, this Wagner guy....either we are the worst defensive team in basketball history or this guy is a legend
