Hello Hawkeye fans. MAC power Kent State comes to Slater Field in historic Kinnick Stadium. Iowa ranked #5 coming off two wins over previously higher ranked teams. Last week with the assistance of Lee Corso showing clown fans the HawkCy trophy and correctly dawning the Herky head to the dismay of the clown crowd. Reports of the fast paced Kent St offense could cause problems for the Iowa defense. Kent State losing to Texas A&M and beating FCS team VMI is 1-1. This game is the first of two to help the Iowa offense get 'untracked' before the start of the B1G season. Iowa gets the odd B1G season where ALL 3 of our cross over games are played first before playing the other 6 western division teams. What options will the Kent State team take with a win of the toss? Do they decide to take the ball or do the customary defer? How many turnovers will be teams get as they are the top two teams in interceptions with 7 (IA) and 8 (KSU). Iowa gets at least two more picks with one going back for 6. Iowa offense puts up big numbers, Special teams get in on the scoring also and TT has some big field flipping punts. Iowa scores over 31 and holds Kent State to less than 14. As always FIGHT for IOWA and GO HAWKS!!!
