***Official NBA Finals Thread***

Like I said, bet everything you can get on Cleveland. Easiest money in a long time. Golden State is favored.

Get outta here with your NBA pocha. Dontcha get it by now? Nobody on this site cares! They'd rather watch people dribble for 33 seconds then fire up a prayer.

Pulling for the Warriors, sadly it'll be LeBron.

I think the Warriors take it. Lebron needs to play a legendary finals to beat a team like the Warriors. Cleveland hasn't played anybody the likes of Golden State yet in the playoffs. The West is best.

I thought that was just the basketball board. There has to at least be some Bulls fans hanging around these parts.

Anyways I feel this will be an extremely competitive back and forth series. Dubs in 7. Two hours till tip...

Golden State in 7. Should be a fun series to watch. The Cavs can do it if LeBron dominates. Nobody on Golden State can guard him straight up.

I have GS in 7, but Cleveland in 6 would not shock me either.

Does anybody else think that Cleveland is better without Kevin Love? I believe Bill Simmons would call this the "Ewing Theory."

Love is a better scorer than Tristan Thompson, but TT is much better defensively, and on a team with LeBron, Irving, JR Smith, and Sumpert, the offensive slack is more than made up for.

I wouldn't say they were better without him, but they don't really get much worse. Having him in the rotation will stretch the floor for them though.

I think Green has a better shot than almost anyone in the league to stop James. He has deceptively quick feet, long arms, and is strong in the post. I would rather have Barnes start out on James though, because I can see Green getting in foul trouble early. Save Green for crunch time as well as Igoudala.

I just think he is much too big and powerful for Green/Barnes/Iggy. Post these guys up every time and draw the double. Easy Peezy. That being said, Golden State has too much offensive firepower which should be the difference. Everyone can light it up.

As someone who Likes the nba, it's been down this year and golden state are frauds

So apparently OSU is located in Cleveland?! Lol.

Lol. Nba is not at all down, there have just been a bunch of injuries. Frauds don't make the nba finals out of the west.
Golden State was just the team that just so happened to stay the healthiest in the west this year. They are frauds.

Are you just disregarding the entire regular season as well then?
Phoenix used to do this. Jack up a bunch of threes, have a great regular season record and then just flame out in the playoffs. The only difference now, is that Golden State just had all the stars line up for them to make a run to the finals.

Phoenix went 67-15 in a loaded west with two of the best shooters of all time and the best defense in the nba?

Oh, come on now. GS has the best 3 point shooter ever. They also have 7-8 guys that can drain it from downtown with consistency. Fun game to watch.

Are they frauds because their two best players are "watered down" African-Americans who lack jail ink and actually know both their parents?

I need Cleveland to lose this series, but that leaves my hopes in the hands of golden state and I don't trust them.

I'm still amazed at where threads go beyond what the OP intended.

Game 1 over. GS won. I like that.

I think Curry is one of the most fun players to watch in a long time. At least 20 years, maybe more.

Le Bron is not fun to watch. He's a graceful bull in a China shop. He's a player that's not sure what he wants to be, but he's best in the game now.

I think Cleveland wins the series, but I'm rooting for GS.

Golden State gets the first even with Lebron going off. Plus, Irving looks hurt. Not looking good for Cleveland.
I liked how ABC mentions GS's luck with other team's point guards going down in the playoffs, failing to mention that Cleveland got Atlanta missing half of their starters.

GS in 5.

My biggest question is if Irving is out and Delly has to play big minutes again...who is the first Warrior he tries to injure? Went after Gibson, injured Korver, tried to blow out Horford's knee.... I'm guessing Green.

Golden state gets another break. Kyrie done.

I can just see you ten years from now telling people how lucky the warriors got in 2015 to win it all. Then they'll look up and see they won the west by 11 games and they're going to think you're crazy. They will be right.

I want the warriors to win. I hate Cleveland sports and love watching them suffer, but still think GS just got the best luck during the playoffs. On the graphic they showed during the game, every team they played had a starting point guard that was injured during the series.

You can't say they are frauds though, that's ridiculous. Frauds don't go 67-15 in the West while being 1st in defensive efficiency and nearly 1st in offensive efficiency. Frauds also don't go 13-3 in the playoffs up until this point. I get that they have been more fortunate than other teams with the injuries, but it's not like the injuries haven't benefited other teams as well. The Warriors were the best of the best all throughout the regular season. I guess staying healthy is just one more thing they were the best at, let's not diminish their accomplishments because of that. Did you ever think that it might have something to do with them being a very young and deep team? Also, since they were so dominate during the regular season they were often able to rest starters for much of the 4th quarter in games. Go look up the leaders in mpg this season and you won't see a Warriors player in the top 40.

"Everyone's pain tolerance is different, but my responsibility is much higher than a lot of guys," James said. "Not only on this team, but a lot of guys in professional sports, and I take it very seriously."

Except when I get a little pat to the face, then I'm going down for a few minutes.

I will never understand the LeBron hate. Do none of you realize you're watching probably the second best player ever (and when it all works out maybe the best ever)? He's almost single handedly willing a woefully undertalented team into this series. I just saw a graphic that this is the first time ever a team won a Finals game without two of three top scorers from the season. Not a series, a single game.

Isn't willing his team to wins the kind of thing MJ gets credit for? LeBron gets two of the worst Finals teams in NBA history there on his back and people whine about how he does it or who he does it against. Unbelievable.
