Becoming one of my favorite weekends of the year.

Welp, the decision to not foul and the T'Wolves deciding to run out the clock saved my $20 bonus bet (for now). It voided because I added Denver +7.......and it even looked like two MIN players were discussing whether to score there at the end. Now THAT would've been a bad f***ing beat.

Now just waiting on the Dodgers to not completely sh** the bed and lose by 4 runs............ :D

My wife asked me the other day how the sports betting was going, and I said “It’s going well, I feel like I’m less stupid than I have been in past summers.” It’s not about picking winners, it’s about not picking stupid losers.

I was wrong last night about Sonny Gray and the Cardinals. That doesn’t make it a stupid bet. Taking a live O/U or run line on that game trying to break even, that would’ve been a stupid bet. In my opinion, the biggest obstacle for sports bettors is avoiding those kinds of pitfalls. Chasing losses, doubling up, etc. will take a 55% hit rate (profitable) to 50% (losing) in a hurry. This will be almost 5 years since I started taking this seriously, and I wouldn’t say I’ve gotten better at picking winners. I’ve gotten better at avoiding losses.

I've had a miserable few weeks. Trying to slowly build back. Got a couple small parlays tonight. Trying to tell myself to not bet hockey. It's quite unpredictable and the playoffs have been highly entertaining without betting interests
