Draftkings has it -20.5, Fanduel has it -17.5. This is why it is important to always be shopping. So it’s OSU -17.5 now. Nut up boys, who you got?

I think he meant road games only.Winsipedia has Iowa 15-47-3 against OSU all time. Which would be about %25.

It’s reasonable to to think this since the passing game hasn’t taken the next step like the run game, which they are good against.Repeat of last years B1G title game and subsequent bowl game combined into one 60 minute nightmare where the Offense is completely inept and the Defense just runs out of gas. FWIW I hope I’m wrong and the Hawks put two solid halves of football together and make it a game.
But maybe…just maybe, this is the week TBDBITL misspells “OHIO”…the Hawks will show up, guaranteed. It’s reasonable to to think this since the passing game hasn’t taken the next step like the run game, which they are good against.
I have a feeling it will be kind of like MSU. Close for a while, but not by the end.
Bet with your head, not your heart.I just took our boys plus 21. I have faith.
Should be easy money betting on the Buckeyes.
The old eyeball test has me leaning towards the latter. Is it OSU that doesn’t have a QB orrrrr is it Iowa?
Howard is a perfect fit for that LOADED (an understatement) OSU offense. He's not flashy but - for the most part - makes solid decisions and is extremely accurate. He can also run which is kind of unique for a Ryan Day QB.It's f***ing Will Howard.....let's not overthink the room here.
He was run out of K-State for Avery Johnson. The roster and the scheme is what's tricking your eyes.
The hope is that the same doesn't happen to Phil and our defense.........

I did mean road games only. I'd be more likely to believe 25% of all games-with a heavy dose Evy and 30s era teams. However, at best Ohio State wins 77% of the games in an 85-game sample that might include all or parts of three centuries.I think he meant road games only.
Anyone remember what the line was when the Hawks put up 55 on tOSU?
still think that?Way too much. They don't have the QB, and Iowa has a legit running game.
Yep.
i am just hoping our offense looks competent and we somehow keep it close
No it wasn’t a “night game”…. It was a 230 start, Im sure. November game, dark by 5pm…. So lights used but it was not a night game. That game was at night and in Iowa City, of course.
Here are 2 articles from 2017 that said the Buckeyes were a 17-point favorite.

I got 20.5 and was giddy to get it. I think we could easily get embarrassed. Obviously I hope that’s not the case but I fear Howard is going to show just how bad our secondary is and we won’t be able to move the ball and Cade will get beat up behind our suspect line.
Again, hope to heck I’m wrong.
OSU has a bigger game the week after @Oregon and Day hasn't been the type to run up the score. Those two factors along with the fact OSU will be happy to run a lot makes a lower scoring game possible.Seems like a pretty conservative number to me 🤷🏻♂️
Our offense has struggled to look competent against Illinois St, Troy St, and Iowa St in half of each one of those games. Ohio St is easily the best team we will play by a large margin.
Was a 2:30 kick from what I recollect and ended in darkness. That game was at night and in Iowa City, of course.

There is no better college marching band than TBDBITL… and their “gimmicks” are their routines. For your own knowledge….”YouTube” tOSU band at Wembley Stadium.. and get back to me.I'd feel better about our chances if we had the defense we're used to having.
(OSU band also overrated. Very gimmicky.)
Agree 100%. This game will be more competitive than many think. No question about the difference in talent level, especially with OSUs outside guys.i am just hoping our offense looks competent and we somehow keep it close
Hope our D backfield is on their best game.
Howard definitely not a real rushing threat at QB.
ISU was missing what…their top 3 linebackers?…and that didn’t help the Hawks.Agree 100%. This game will be more competitive than many think. No question about the difference in talent level, especially with OSUs outside guys.
But the reason I'm bullish on a good game for Iowa is that Will Howard's career path is not the NFL but rather at Western Union, because that guy is a human telegraph. AI couldn't duplicate what he does. And Iowa's secondary is notoriously good and keeping their heads in on the QB and diagnosing quickly. I think the week off will help them get back to those fundamentals and stop thinking so much.
Second, OSUs LBs are quite the weak link on their defense. Young, talented and inexperienced. Poor tacklers (OSU doesn't tackle to the ground in practice) and weak on coverage. They're susceptible to getting caught up in the wash on running plays. OSU has been very vanilla on defense these first four games working a 4-2-5. It's understandable because they can simply outscore most teams.
There are not a chinks in OSUs armor, but these are just a couple that stand out to me after watching four full OSU games with my Bucknut girlfriend.
JMO
Cheers!
Hope our D backfield is on their best game.

Some of the shit they do is just amazing. This halftime show vs Iowa was one for the ages. There is no better college marching band than TBDBITL… and their “gimmicks” are their routines. For your own knowledge….”YouTube” tOSU band at Wembley Stadium.. and get back to me.
No one “takes the field” pregame as impressively as the Buckeyes marching band. Plus, in all the years they have performed “script Ohio”…they haven’t misspelled it yet!
