This one makes me laugh a bit, for those who follow OSU WBB a little bit will know why.
Who would have thought a program that hires parents to be assistant coaches to get their kids into the program would have violations?
I take it you don’t follow Iowa women’s basketball?
Does paint eventually dry?I take it you don’t follow Iowa women’s basketball?

20 years ago. Michael Morgan was hired in 2000 as assistant coach. His daughter, Crystal Smith, was a recruit from Louisianna who came to Iowa in 2002, She became an all-Big10 player and a WNBA player. Michael was a former mens player at Iowa.
I thought that was not exactly the same quid pro quo type situation. First, Crystal was not a nationally top ranked recruit with offers from all the premier programs. Also, in the OSU case, there was a second ‘so-so’ sister that was part of a two scholarships for one player package. Then there is the fact that Michael Morgan was a ex-Iowa Hawkeye and that the new administration had a need for an assistant, so it wasn’t a case where a position was somehow miraculously made a available. Not only that, but he was arguably more qualified to coach than the father in the OSU’s case. Finally, I believe for the Hawkeyes, it was a happy coincidence and not a case of quid pro quo. When did that happen?
Always sad when bad things happen to good programs.........................Ohio St. was shocked, I tell you shocked, that any of their athletic programs could have slipped to the dark side.
