I'm constantly sending fact check articles to people and it's either ignored outright or called fake news even though it's usually from Reuters. They don't want to hear the truth they just want everyone to believe what they believe because they have all the answers.

The scary part is that this has always been cyclical, however this is the first such cycle to introduce the new variable of Social Media into the equation, which is exacerbating and amplifying the effect considerably.

I had a very similar conversation with my aunt. I need to be terrified with all the censorship going on right now. The police let those peaceful protestors into the Capital. Ballot harvesting is so prevalent. I don't like Trump because he tells the truth unlike the mainstream media that is brainwashing me. The fraud in this election is astonishing. Trump called the Secretary of the state to ask for help which the Secretary didn't give because he knew he cheated so Biden would win and couldn't risk being caught.

Sadly, there was a period post WW2 when “McCarthyism” was very much in vogue in the US...It was the post WW2isolationists who were tired of America becoming the pre-eminent world power spokesman for “democracy” who wanted America to concentrate wholly on “America’s problems”...It was the politicians, including a President, who ended the anti-Americanism of Senator Joe...these anti-Americans are alive and well today".,they wear red caps and rally for MAGA...

It’s not “my party” as I’ve voted Obama/Clinton/Biden in the las 4 elections. If you can’t see the bias so be it...it’s pretty explicit from my seat

It doesn’t work like that here. If you are an R, you think the media is biased for the left. If you are a D, you think the right wing media is far worse than the left. Those of us in the middle think both sides are biased. But the left here will always accuse you of being wrong and a Trumper, no matter how many times you remind them you’ve never casted a vote for him.

If you think Joe Biden is a "liberal" Hawkeye...you are no moderate, you are biased. If you think Democrats are pushing a "socialist" or "communist" agenda, you are not a moderate, but a hard right leaning wacko.
There were a couple of things that I very much agree with Trump and Republicans on (China IT piracy and border security) but found the Trump methodology to be totally unacceptable....especially the border security issue.

As an independent, because I thought Trump was a horrible president, I was then labeled socialist/leftist/and even communist by one Facebook friend.

It's not me who changed. It's the GOP.
