Okay Trump backers - Biden passed the baton up 2% on the S&P, where do we end up 12/31/25?

Market has been on a heater for 2+ years, and it is up 2% through biden’s term in 2025. I assume many here who voted for trump did so not because he’s a swell guy, but because of anticipated financial considerations. Where do we end up? A three peat of 20%+?

Over the last 9 years, I think the average return is about 12%. If Trump is average he can hit that. Rooting for him on that front.
That post was for Northern who made a point of saying both the Dow and S&P were outperformed over the last 4 years compared to Trump's first term. I asked him if he was willing to make the same bet. As usual, showed his cowardice and didn't respond.

I think you might have missed why Trump was swept back into office. Decent amount of his voters are not participating in the markets. The wealthy did INCREDIBLY well during Biden, the middle class and poor did not. What matters to many Trumpers are things like - can I buy groceries for the month and still have money in the account or can I afford a home. Not how much return can I make in my excess income.

Most the middle class have 401k with market exposure.
the poor don’t have any savings so it doesn’t matter. You would have to be a financial dumbass to not be in the market. It’s a long term proven winner.

Sure - a lot of employed have 401k plans, but a surprising amount don’t invest the max or even take advantage of the matching. The top 10% income earners account for 90% of the stock market - so while there are a lot of participants, a small percentage own the wealth and capitalize on the gains much more.

The top 10% own 90 of household stocks, not total.

Thanks captain. I wish all my assets were up that much last year.
Do you understand the difference between fixed and variable assets?
Asking for a friend.
Please indicate where in your initial post you made that qualification. It's okay to admit you did well during the Biden administration.

I’d be happy with 8% and 2% inflation

My post addressed those here on HORT and not garden variety MAGAts, and we here are all loaded and in the market.

I recommend saying ok rapist, 34 felonies, ripping off of charities, 3 times divorced, 5 times bankrupt, impeached twice failed President and leader of an insurrection terrorist Idiots over Trump backers.

The single biggest thing his fanboys bragged about during his four years was how well the market was doing, and how much their 401ks went up.

Things did even better under Biden, so you’re making up new excuses for why you support the most vile, disgusting, emotionally immature man ever to hold office. You love him because he’s an asshole. Everything g else is just your excuse.
