89- 54-- Iowa was taken to the woodshed tonight by a very well-coached and hot Northwestern team, which beat us in the paint 42-18 and by a couple dozen from the three. Rebounds were just as bad. We haven't won on the road yet in the BIG and this was the Wildcats' third BIG road win. Worst loss to NW in 32 years. Have to re-group against Maryland at home, which will be much easier game than this thrashing. We were led by two freshmen with 14-- Kriener and Cook who stood out on a night that Jok, Baer, Pemsl and Moss all had off games. Hate to see what practice will be like this week- only sure bet is that Kriener's playing time will continue to increase, according to Fran. .

I agree mostly with this......but at what level of awful do you go from "a young team having its ups and downs" to "good basketball players just don't do those things"?
I am still excited about this group.......but if I am being honest, tonight scared me a little bit.
Tough lesson to learn. You show up with zero intensity and go through the motions, tonight is what happens in this league.
When Northwestern plays like they did tonight, all you can do is offer congrats and go back to the practice court.
