NEW YORK — Senator Bernie Sanders used to criticize the "millionaires and billionaires" — but now it's just billionaires because he is a millionaire himself. He profited off of his books and chose not to donate those profits to charity.
Sen. Sanders has three homes, including a four-bedroom, three-bath lakefront summer home. According to Forbes Magazine, he purchased the home in cash "less than two months after ending the 2016 campaign built on lambasting the rich."
Sen. Sanders' household wealth puts him in the top 5% of all Americans.

In at least two of the debates against Hillary Clinton during the 2016 primary, Sanders targeted “millionaires and billionaires,” according to transcripts.
“Millionaires and billionaires are pouring unbelievable sums of money into the political process in order to fund super PACs and to elect candidates who represent their interests, not the interests of working people,” he said in an October 2015 debate, according to The New York Times.
Sanders has targeted billionaires as often as ever in the eight 2020 Democratic debates that began in June. But he has not said “millionaires” during the events, according to transcript searches.

Comrade Sanders has only one dacha that I'm aware of.
It's a modest 4 bedroom, 3 bath unit, with only 500' of lake frontage, in keeping with his station.
From each according to his ability, to each according to his need, and comrade Bernie clearly needs this.
AS much as people like to ruminate about Harris and Newsome's futures, Klobuchar could easily be a strong sleeper candidate depending on which way the democractic party 'tacks' over the next four years after their soul search exercise.
I really think it will depend on Trump‘s and the GOP‘s approval.
If they are doing well, the Democrats will have to be close to center to gain ground. But if Trump is crashing and burning epically, I think they will keep a far left agenda, thinking they will win just based on the anti-Trump votes.
She’ll be 68 in 4 years. I highly doubt anyone more than a year or two past 60 in 2028 gets a chance in ‘28.
Especially with Vance, who’s probably the early favorite right now, going to be 44.
I’d love to see Klobuchar as the D nominee. Vance would destroy her in a Presidential race.
If all that wealth hadn't been created we'd all be 'richer', but only in relative terms.
