Didn't like them at first, but, they grew on me. They aren't bad. More to the point, we are unbeaten in them.
Instead of stupid arrows down the side, we got "wings of hawks" down the side
also loved "Hawkeyes" on the back and the iconic Tiger Hawk on the front
Finally something awesome coming from Nike.
They sure beat the gold uniforms. A legacy of big home games and a ton of losses.
They were great. Loved them from start of the game.
Yes if Iowa went with either the gray or the black road uniforms every game, I would like very much. Iowa's black uniforms are my personal favorite.
were the white uni's (we wore last night) tweaked at all?
my only complaints of the black:
* they look stale to me (kinda like a car model that has not been
redesigned in 5 years)
* I hate the "O" being filled in with white (makes the jersey look cheap imo)
* Dev Marble has been gone a while. This style has been around a while. It needs a refresh imo.

They were Ok rather have the last names on the back of the jersey but hey they WON !!
Best unis they've had in a long time, probably since before the NASCAR unis Alford brought in.

Interesting. Seems one either loves or hates them. I hate them. Too washed out, the font is lame, prefer names on the back. Ugly.
Black, gold, and white are great are great the way they pop. Why mess with that? You can always freshen up the unis, but with a more impactful version.

The design was fantastic. Just get rid of the grey, and put the names on the back and they'd be great.

The regular unis need to go. High school teams update their unis more frequently. They are exactly the same as so many other also ran nike schools with the shitty water mark on the back and random design down the side. They are awful. Today was so much better.
I liked them a lot. That was a very well kept secret...didn't anticipate that when I turned the game on. Tired of the other unis with the stupid arrows on the the sides. Also, liked having the name Hawkeyes on the back. Shows more team unity and we are not likely to have a Lebron type player, I think it fits our image better....play as a team to win.
I’m in the i love them camp. Really sharp with the black shoes too.
At our home games guys are wearing different shoe colors and some are wearing white shoes which look atrocious and like we are a team from the nursing home. Last night we looked good, real good.

Second picture, Garza needs to holster those three shooters before he hurts someone. Love this kid as a player.
As for the uniforms, they look like practice unis. Mainly because of the tigerhawk on the front instead of Iowa. Not a huge fan of the gray, but once in a while is ok I guess. Otherwise the design of the jersey is simple and clean. The shorts are a bit busy but pretty close. Compare those to UConn’s who look like they were designed 15 years ago with the block panels on the sides.
Totally agree. Hate it when teams put the name of the school on the back. I know it’s supposed to make it seem like they are a team. But to me it seems cheap and it looks dorky.
i just think the arrows down the side on our current uniform look dumb and I think it makes Nike look like they were trying to come up with something clever (other than a simple stripe)
our current uni's look old and tired imo
and the "O" filled in with white on our black uni's looks cheap, imo
the gray uniforms made me think "cool" and Wow!" I have not thought that about an Iowa men's BB uniform in a long time
