On Nov 24: "Scott Frost to Nebraska is a done deal." Do his teams play Defense?? Gave up 55 today!!

Nebraska's talent level is severely below historical levels and Florida is better fit (even if it is a tougher gig) than Nebraska. I really don't buy into the Frost to Nebraska story. Frost has only been a head coach for two years. Seems like a recipe for disaster no matter where he lands.

Spread in Nebraska in November is tough. Too bad iowa will no longer play them after thanksgiving if this is true.

There is a dangerous savior complex around Frost in Husker land. If he can't produce 10 win seasons for them the fanbase will be on suicide watch. I'm not convinced Frost can compete at an elite level in the Big Ten at a place like Nebraska. That program is a pile of poop right now.

How can their roster be that bad we consistantly here how good their recruiting classes are haha

No kidding. Won’t hear a peep out of their fan base on here till about a week or so besides signing day. Only other way think they re emerge earlier is if they get frost then we will hear how they landed the next nick Saban. However sounds like he’s meeting with Florida this weekend so who knows where he ends up.

Just my opinion, but their fans have backed the AD into an awkward position. Frost or nothing. I think a smart hire would be Bielema. He knows the Big 10 having coached and recruited there. Most importantly he would respect the conference and the teams in it, something the Huskers haven't learned yet. But that will never happen because he's an Iowa and Wisconsin guy.

Frost is already considered the savior of Nebraska football. He doesn't even need to ever coach there. His revered status is already as high as it would ever get with the fan base.

Take the Florida job. It's a no brainier.

I think the talent at Nebby is better than it looks on the field. How many on here would have thought that Iowa State's roster had much talent on it? Coach Campbell was able to take what they had and bring in a few of his recruits and coach up a pretty solid team this year. Nebby's players were playing for a lame duck coach who obviously could not motivate them.

Kelly told UF he would verbally commit to the coaching job unless UCLA offered. UF weakly said ok. UCLA offered and Kelly took that job. Weak on UFs part and classless on Kelly’s part. It kind of puts UF in a bad light in my opinion. Initially I thought Frost to UF made total sense but now he looks like a second best option at UF. That may dissuade him to go there. I think that move may have helped Little Debbie get him. If he is smart though, he won’t let his ego get in the way. There is absolutely no doubt that the program at Florida is leaps and bounds better than Debbie and recruiting there is far easier then it will be in Lincoln.

Getting good talent at UCF, is not difficult because it's right in your back yard. You aren't getting the 4 and 5* talent but you have in roads to the 3* talent, which is considerable. Those inroads might not be enough to convince that talent to leave Florida and come to the upper Midwest. That's all speculation, of course. No matter what, he's got to be an upgrade over Riley. Which is a hire that I will never understand.

That’s why I think he still should head an hour down the road to UF. He already has recruiting ties in the area. When I heard UF was trying for Kelly I knew they were making a huge mistake. Kelly would get thrashed in the SEC. He needs to be in a conference that plays all offense no defense. I actually hope Frost goes to UF, I’m curious how good he really is.

Talent yes. Where is the toughness?
