On Riley

Lohaus was a HS all American, I believe, a lot of expectations. Jepsen came in with zero expectations

Lohaus was a top 25 recruit by most gurus back in the day. He was to be the next Bill Walton by some prognosticators.

My only hope in Riley is I knew someone who worked for college bball team. He always said takes big guys little more time to develop and get use to the college game and easier in his opinion for guards and wings to come in and contribute as fresh/soph. I'm not expecting Riley to be a 15/10 guy but if he can develop into that solid big off the bench would be huge. One guy to compare how he did a great job of developing over his time and over shadowed by garza was Kriener. he was playing great by his Sr season.

Thats a pretty good comp from a physical standpoint.

Kriener seemed to have more of an edge to him from the get go though.

Was Krieners senior year when they canceled the tournament?

He was a tough player, always liked him.

yeah unfortunately kriener didn't get that last shot at the tourney.

Riley is going to have to hit the weights big time to be anything close to Reiner in strength, but Riley is actually pretty mobile. I just want to see some aggression from him on the court, instead of standing around looking lost.

But you could further the “argument” by saying Fran made the mistake twice on Josh by taking him back. Agreed, it was likely a “we don’t have anyone else so sure” but head scratching nonetheless.

To my eyes Josh is having some moments on the court. He may develop into a decent player
