Dems probably are hurting themselves by focusing as much on women and gender as they do.
Republican Donald Trump's 12% share of the Black vote in 2020 was four percentage points higher than it was in 2016, according to exit polls by Edison Research.

A Reuters/Ipsos poll conducted July 11-17 found 18% of Black Americans would pick Trump over Biden in a hypothetical matchup, compared to 46% who favored Biden, including about one in four Black men, compared to about one in seven Black women.

Compared with Black women, Black men were more likely to say they would back a presidential candidate that supported abortion restrictions and increased police funding to fight crime.

Sarcasm????

Focusing on the female vote is absolutely the best strategy.

Dems can easily get 2/3 of all female votes given the Radical Right's attack on women's rights.

Just wait and watch.

Depends on how much you lose through alienation. At some point it's too much and you lose men.

You mean to counter the radical left's attacks on women by calling them bigots when they say they'd prefer to not compete against or shower with men, correct?

Spin it whatever you want. Rs have major problems with black people.
They have forever. But they're improving. The focus on race -- as led by the dems politically much more so than the repubs -- nationally will, ironically, probably end up helping the right politically more than the left.

Lots more visibility of black people within conservative political space than there ever has been before. Not just talking about politicians. Look at youtubers and podcasters.

No one gives a crap about small stuff like that.

Abortion rights is probably the single biggest issue next year outside of Turd's legal issues.

But you already know that.

Dems get anywhere near 65% of the female vote(easily achieved) and they won't even need 50% of males.

Kansas and Wisconsin proved abortion rights is a huge issue.

Dems have been losing minority voters, overall, since Obama I think. But yeah, this would represent a bigger shift if it sticks.
Losing an extra 5% of 14% is something like 1% overall. By targeting women they only have to pick up 2-3% of 50%< which gives a 1-1.5% bump.

Women is definitely a better demographic to focus on generally, but yeah, it's pretty clear that a growing number of black voters are no longer willing to take it for granted that they should vote Dem.

NEWSFLASH: Some black people are also idiots.

Stunning info you've provided, OP.

Really eye-opening.
Ok. So more are becoming idiots. It's about a trend.

The demographics as destiny (fallacy, it's seeming) playbook probably won't turn out well over the long-run.

That's what .5%, if that, of registered voters, while females make up 51% of registered voters
