Where is 89and91 to talk stadium smack as he usually does??
My guess is Iowa gets enough walkups that they'll have something in the low 60s

I will not even be able to watch the game because work does not have the BTN. Will be lucky if we can get the ESPN channel and see a highlight or two.
Hmmm... not surprising I guess.
Thanks for posting that completely irrelevent information in the ticket thread. I know we were all waiting on pins and needles to find out what your plans were for Saturday. Thanks for letting us know.
Chad Leistikow from the Des Moines Register reported it on twitter. The actual number was 57,600 tickets I believe.Link? Or could you elaborate where you are getting this # from?
Not to me. My recent guess of 59,121 in another thread looks pretty awesome, although even that now appears to be overly optimistic. Thank you.

Wouldn't be a big surprise to see the more people in Trice than Kinnick on Saturday.
Playing UNI brings a big local fan interest that wouldn't be there otherwise. And being a night game on a hot day makes it a far superior game watching experience.
No way would I even consider broiling in the stands to watch them play an FCS opponent. I expect to see A LOT of empty seats in Kinnick if it's sunny and in the low 90s on Saturday.
Holiday Weekend in both Iowa City and AmesBad situation brewing for ticket sales right now.
Holiday Weekend
Hot ass weather
FCS team
Pissed off fan base

It was reported that Illinois State sold only 1200 of their 4000 allotment. That doesn't help.UNI will bring many more fans that Illinois State will.
uni returned over 600 tickets

Hot ass weather in both Iowa City and Ames
FCS team is the opponent in both Iowa City and Ames
Pissed off fan base in Iowa City and should be in Ames
Looks like a wash. Only thing that might help Ames attract additional fans is seeing the new remodel at the stadium.
This. Many UNI fans will not get their tickets through the UNI ticket office.UNI will bring many more fans that Illinois State will.
No matter the circumstances, did you think that ISU would ever outdraw Iowa? This blows my mind. I knew that Iowa fan base wasn't happy, but this is hard to believe....even with the heat and holiday weekend. What history is being made Jamie? Losing to a FCS team for the third time? Do you already have a press conference lined up to blame the refs for the lose

Hey Is It will Pollards mini packs continue to where isu will have more attendance than Iowa at the end of they year or will little bro be looking up at us yet again?
A simple bet really who will have more attendance at the end of the year? Maybe Pollard can discount all the games to $33.00 or less.

57k. That's all that needs to be said and the point of the thread. And you can piss and moan about Iowa State all you want. It's your fanbase that ain't showing up.
Yeah Iowa is paying the debt of the last 5 years. The losses to Minnesota, Nebraska and Tennessee rung out whatever enthusiasm was there in the fan base. People will come back, and quickly, if the wins come. But Iowa has given them no reason to do so. Jacking prices up substantially after the 2009 season. Clamping down hard on the tailgating atmosphere in recent years. Being largely tone deaf with the gameday experience in the stadium.
But heaven forbid the Hawks lose to Illinois State and Iowa State to start the season, might be lucky to get 40,000 there for the North Texas game.
I've always lived a minimum of 5 hours from Iowa City, and been to Football games, wrestling meets, etc., many, many times over the years.
