Wonderful. The health people have been wrong at nearly every turn, from ridiculous models, to initially warning AGAINST wearing masks, to.....
And now you think they should be listened to regarding re-opening the country? It's just a CYA for the governor.

Like every physician remains vague and on defense to cover their ass and their liability. Very rarely will one physician bash another also. There are times you can tell when you talk to one about what another one stated and they obviously dont agree. You get that look like WTH but not stated. The old do no harm deal. How do you do no harm? Everyone stay home.

But they were trying really really really hard and they had our best interest at heart you know. They just cared too much.

Roman, please explain how the "health people have been wrong" at every turn. So in the countries like New Zealand where now the rate of new cases is non existent, who did they get their information from?

The mask warnings were so that health providers could use the supply of the masks that were certified. Now we realize that any mask is better than nothing, but there are still a lot of dipshits out there either not wearing masks or wearing them incorrectly. Wearing a mask protects others, not you, so not wearing one or wearing it incorrectly is just potentially hurting others.

"CYA" for what?

So hawkfeever, if you don't believe in the scientists and the "health people" who do you believe? Let me guess?

I love freedom. Freedom to do stupid stuff that could only hurt myself. I don't want to live in a self-induced Great Depression. We buckle in every day knowing at the end of the year 30 something thousand of us won't survive, but we do it for convenience and to make a livelihood and to have fun. Shelter the at risk and get on man. Sorry but I ain't living in fear.

New Zealand is an island. population of about 1.5 times of Iowa.

Where are you living? We in the US have had almost 75000 deaths so far, with about 2500/day dying.

Do you stop at stop signs and red lights while driving your car? Do you drive on the right side of the road?

I have no idea why the Oregon governor is making this sort of proclamation. 121 deaths. Every death is bad, but my goodness ordering restrictions 4 months from now for one of the least-impacted states in the country seems weird.
It's Oregon. Even campers are too systemic for the hippie dippie lifestyle people that live there

I assume she will be lowering the speed limit to 20mph in Oregon, we have to save every life, no risk allowed.

Yes, I'm sure she will as it's the same thing as the coronovirus. You're an idiot.

People dying because of freedom and money. Isn't that what this is about? Why do we have to drive 60 or 70mph? If we all drove 20 mph it would save thousands of women and children, all healthy innocent individuals, and that is annually.

Sure do. I do follow existing laws, yeah. Doesn't mean I like every one of them.

How come we do not enact mandatory annual flu vaccination? 99% of the medical professionals out there would tell you annual flu deaths would decline by many thousands if we did. But you know COVID it's somehow wayyyyyyy different than that. If it is simply about saving lives and not about taking control then hell we should have 20mph speed limits and mandatory flu vaccinations. Would save thousands upon thousands of lives, guaranteed.

the left wing should all stay in their storm shelters so the rest of us can open up the country, We will tell you when you can come out.
There are a lot of reasonable people, left, right, and center that know you are wrong. But if you must, please do NOT burden the health system when you get sick. Just crawl back in your hole and suck it up, buttercup.

In Minnesota, as of yesterday, there were 508 deaths from covid 19. 80% of those 508 deaths have occurred in nursing homes or other long term care facilities. That means, of course, just over 100 deaths in the rest of the population.

I believe in balance. I think we need to strike a balance in saving lives (from covid) and in NOT destroying people's lives (via the economy getting destroyed and people losing their jobs, their small businesses, etc).

I am 100% convinced that many of the same people still clamoring for the least at risk people to stay shut in and shut down will be ones complaining about their economic circumstances come election day.

You didn't answer the question. Say a 20mph speed limit saves 25,000 people every single year. Why don't you CARE about those people? It could be someone you know that is saved by a national 20mph speed limit. I think we can safely say we all know someone who had been killed in an auto accident. Most of us will not know someone who died of COVID. The COVID deaths will end. The auto accidents will keep right on going. Freedom, money, fun and death.

You're being purposely ignorant. And I ignore the ignorant.

Bye.

you are correct. If you listen to some of the so called experts we will never open up as we are not going to totally rid ourselves of this thing. Can we all stay locked up and go bankrupt together along with every business as well as every state? We have to slowly come out and try to get things moving. Just look what it has done in a month and a half. Add a few more onto that and see what happens. You don't think the mental health of everyone is not going to go in the tank?

So what do you suggest? If you were in charge of the policy for a few million people I mean?
