The predicted "test" the was to be Marquette did not turn out to be that. Although loaded with 4 and 5 star (what are stars?) talent, the Hawkeyes destroyed Marquette in fine fashion.

Do not fret as Iowa will be tested starting Thursday. After a good Thanksgiving day nap, Iowa gets to take on Dayton @ 8pm. Who already beat Alabama (not that they are any good), another Orlando Classic team.

Iowa could face 4 different teams who are predicted to be post season playing teams. We play one in Dayton, but we could potentially play either Wichita State, Notre Dame and/or Xavier. All predicted to be tourney teams. USC could be a 5th tourney team. We will find out tonight when they play Craig Neal's team, the Lobos... One thing is for certain, we will be tested!

Yeah, they gave the Wolverines a good beating. USC looks to be a decent team after knocking out New Mexico. Dayton already destroyed Alabama...

This is a fantastic field. There might be a better tournament field playing somewhere, but I am not aware of it. There are SIX teams ranked in the Kenpom.com top 50. With four being in the top 25... Guess who is the top rated team, btw?

We are almost certain to face a good to great outing every night. We definitely will if we get passed the first round. Dayton will be tough. They return most of their starters from a round of 32 team. They are good.

The key for us to rise to a top 15 team, is to reach the finals of the Classic. Win the tourn and we are top 10. We have to beat Dayton first tho.... Win Thursday night, and we are on our way!

2-1 would be a good outing. But obviously we want to play the best teams possible.

A 2-1 record in the Classic COULD be a great record in this tourney. We need to win the first game tho. Otherwise we could potentially play the bottom teams. Which would leave us with a chance at no decent wins. It depends on how it shakes out.

Win the first game, and 2-1 is a good record. Guaranteed. This is a deep field. If we win the first game.... Lose and we play could Monmouth and Alabama. Zero to write home about.

I have seen more Dayton fans than any other school. I have been here since Friday and have not had one negative comment about Iowa football. Lots of positive comments.
