OSU attrition continues

Too early to circle OSU as a sure win but it is a pleasure to see them struggle. Perfect opponent to run to death. Fran can send in a new wave of players every 4-5 minutes with instructions to hound them on defense and attack at every possession.

Just freeing up schollys to bring in a whole slew of his guys. Take in the shorts one or two years to rebuild.

Probably a bad year or two ahead, but tosu has the resources to recover and in b-ball it only takes a couple of really good classes to turn a program around.

By my count, OSU now has eight players and one of them is a former walk-on. The question will be if they find some guys at the last minute.

What a mess.

Couldn't ever feel sorry for them, not after the way they used to piss-pound us relentlessly in football for all those years. Hope we can get in some major punches to their basketball program while they're down.

Crean started with a clean slate at Indiana, and that's supposedly why they were still struggling 3-4 years into his tenure.

Who do they have left to play PG Dan? Know they've got Potter and incomer Wesson for the post.

OSU will only be down a year or two.

In terms of recruiting they certainly have playing time to offer.

The rest, as with any new coach in the Big Ten, is still not going to be easy. I suppose their history and if the new guy is as good as it appears (cough, cough, lickl cough iter came from Butler) he'll have every opportunity to rebuild quickly, and he should get the job done.

Probably.

I live in Columbus (otherwise nice place to live) and could not be happier with THE Ohio State University's immediate basketball prospects. I am hoping we play them twice in each of the next 3 years. Best games I have ever seen has been Ronnie Lester squaring off against Calvin Ramsey ... classic point guard matchup!

Ronnie played some of his best games against OSU. Great memories. OSU was stacked with a deep and very talented roster (Kelvin Ramsey, Herb Williams, Clark Kellogg, Jim Smith, Carter Scott...) that looked like an NBA roster, but underachieved.
