Save it. Last game, this game, we take more foul shots. That's what really counts. Poor clutch defense, poor shooting, turnovers, you can't put all that on the refs.
If the OP is accurate...total horseshit. Fran needs to jump on a grenade for his team.
This +1000No. Fran needs to teach his players how to handle adversity, instead of freak out and blow another end of season/game
Freak that...that was a mugging the last 10 minutes and the video proves it. Fran has had some crappy game lately and today was no different, but when you team is attacking, getting bumped, grabbed and handled, he needs to take one for the team. This +1000
Exactly, the officials did not lose this game for Iowa.It shouldn't come down to that foul call though. If we were playing with confidence and swagger like we were a few weeks ago, we would have blown them our by 20+.
Swagger and confidence doesn't put the ball through a flipping hoop. Being aloud to does and when your not, the fans have a legit beef.It shouldn't come down to that foul call though. If we were playing with confidence and swagger like we were a few weeks ago, we would have blown them our by 20+.
If I knew what this said, I would have a clever response.Refs are bad ever gam period, but if you guys keep bitching you won't look any better than ISU fans
Have to adapt to the way the game is being called. I hate it when people blame the officials for a loss. The players/coaches have to learn to adapt to the way the game is being called. You can't complain about it, you have to make adjustments and fight through it. The sad thing is the last 2 games and the Big Ten Tournament are going to be officiated just like this. So Iowa has to adapt and start getting more physical.
JFC, you can't totally adapt to a way refs call a game. If they're calling touch fouls, yes you adapt and watch your hands. When the opponent can hit you and hold you and doesn't get called for a foul, you can't adapt. When the opponent can take an extra step or two and not get a traveling called, you can't adapt. When an opposing team constantly employs moving "illegal" screens it is difficult to play defense. Please tell me how a team can make adjustments to these scenarios? Regardless of what some may think, officials can and do decide the outcomes of games.
Same time frame Iowa got called for 2 fouls. The double foul and Clemmons fouling with 1 second left. Nothing to see here.
Obviously you could have corrected my honest mistake. I only see a Baer foul at 6:26. Is that right?Let me guess , a statistics major ( not necessarily a good one). Look at box score, make ignorant comment, check.

It's easy to see what teams do to Iowa but Clemmons and Woody where doing there fair share of fouling the last 8 minutes. OSU drove the ball a lot the last 8 minutes without any foul calls. The last 8 minutes where called consistently if you ask me. The Uthoff play at the end was the only thing that was bad to me. Not normally called in that situation though. Not sure why Fran didn't ask for a review there. Looked like he got hit in the face.Sorry, was not intending to point out factual error, have not checked. Was intended to point out that the argument can't always be made from the stats, only from actually watching what happened. Same old ploy as izzo, foul so much that they will quit calling them. It worked, so good plan I guess.
